Kennewick General Hospital - Southridge
Client: Kennewick General Hospital
Size: 171,000 sq.ft.
Completion: est. 2012
PKA has been working with Kennewick General Hospital since 2008 to plan and design a replacement hospital on the Southridge Campus site. The new 171,000 SF facility will provide critical care, medical and surgical beds, short stay beds, emergency department, operating rooms, diagnostic imaging, pharmacy, physician practices, centralized laboratory and administrative services.
This new Southridge facility will complete a three-campus model for Kennewick General that integrates physician practices, as well as urgent and walk-in care centers. The initial design work is for a full-service 75-bed hospital with planned expansion to 250 beds. The project includes operating rooms, in-patient medical, surgical and intensive care services, emergency services, and a full complement of ancillary services.
This new Southridge facility provides for current and future health care demands and ensures the hospital’s ability to best serve the Tri-Cities region. Construction documents are being finalized with a target to begin construction this summer.
