Principal In Charge, Lead Medical Planner

Steve Kolberg is a licensed architect and has been in practice for 37 years. In his role as owner / principal with PKA, Steve has been the lead medical planner for all of PKA’s hospital projects. Under his guidance and leadership, PKA has been extremely successful in the healthcare industry. He has provided medical planning not only for PKA but other architectural firms requiring medical planning expertise.

The firm’s sole design and planning focus since its inception has been in the medical/hospital field. Due to this rich experience, Steve has a deep understanding of the ever changing design needs for complex hospital facilities and healthcare organizations. He has enjoyed long-term client relationships with hospitals, medical centers, and other medical clients for over thirty years.

Steve has a valuable understanding of strategic planning for hospital organizations. He understands the critical need to have a sound business plan and a robust business model that will serve the market and healthcare needs of the community and region. 

Steve is registered in the Oregon, Washington, and California.
