Architect/Medical Planner
Thane returns to PKA with more than a decade of experience in healthcare design. His expertise spans from large scale campus master planning to intimate outpatient environments. During his tenure at leading northwest design firms, clients he has served in Oregon and Washington include Kaiser Permanente, Providence St. Peter Hospital, Oregon Health & Sciences University, Tuality Healthcare, Kennewick General Hospital, Pacific Oncology and Multi-care Good Samaritan Hospital. Thane’s roles in projects with these healthcare organizations are primarily in the area of medical planning, project management and evidence informed design.
Technically challenging spaces, such as Radiation Oncology, Diagnostic Imaging and Surgery Suites are especially enjoyable for Thane. He has been involved in the design of more than three dozen Operating Rooms in seven Surgery Suites, seven linear accelerator rooms, and just about every imaging modality available to modern medicine, including Cath Labs, MRI, CT, Nuclear Medicine, Fluoroscopy & PETCT.
