Completed in Spring of 2018, the Kaiser Permanente Tanasbourne Medical and Dental Office aims to provide an intuitive, pervasive, and inspirational environment for its users and staff. The 70,000 SF MOB includes a variety of medical and dental exam rooms, gathering and community spaces, education and conference spaces, and a cafe.

The project aims to make quality healthcare easily available to its users through the use of technology and social connectors. Interactive monitors as well as the ability to check in from your phone provide convenience for visitors.

Social gathering spaces such as the community conference room, a variety of waiting spaces, and the cafe promote community involvement and allow users to connect with their environment.

The designed environment evokes a narrative of the journey of life and wellness through a motif of canoes, water, discovery, and passage. The natural beauty of Oregon’s creeks and rivers is a strong focus in this theme. Mediums range from original paintings to custom wallpaper and 3-D sculpture, engaging users and connecting the aesthetics throughout the project, from exam room to front porches, together.
