From his youth, Thane has always been drawn to design and construction. He spent his early years working in his dad’s construction company and conceiving designs in his sketchbooks. After a stint earning a B.S. in Botany Biotechnology at BYU, he gravitated back to architecture, obtaining a M.Arch and Certificate in Healthcare Design from Texas A&M University.
Thane is a leader at PKA, acting in his role as a Director & Sr. Project Manager. With decades of experience, he has led some of the most complex and sizable projects at PKA. Working with c-suite healthcare executives and clinical stake-holders, he utilizes his expertise in medical planning in creating spaces that are efficient and person-centric. He recently served the design community for 6 years as a board member on the AIA Seattle Architecture for Health Committee and currently is involved with the American College of Healthcare Architects on the Continuing Competency Committee.
Travelling with his family is something Thane enjoys immensely. He also cleans horse stalls and drives a tractor occasionally. One area he could improve is not promising his family that the latest project on the house will be the last.
Thane is a Registered Architect in Oregon.
