Providence Willamette Falls Surgical Short Stay marks the completion of another phase of PKA’s master facility plan. This phase is distinguished by the addition of 20 dual-function pre/post-operative and observation beds, delivering meaningful operational flexibility. As a dual-licensed unit, the space supports both surgical recovery and observation patients. The vacated Pre/post-op unit will be refreshed and refined to add valuable Med-Surg patient-care space to the hospital.
 
The unit integrates natural graphic panels along the corridors to enhance wayfinding and reinforce visual continuity within patient rooms. Intentional access to natural light elevates the environment, improving staff comfort and strengthening connection to the outdoors.
 
The project was delivered on time and under budget—a testament to the strength of the collaboration.
